Seven is depth: analysis, privacy and a pull toward what sits under the surface. It trusts evidence and solitude over consensus, and is often right before it can explain why.

Strengths
Sevens go further into a subject than the situation strictly requires, and that surplus is where their value sits. They diagnose, they notice the flaw in a comfortable argument, and they do not need company to keep working.
Given time and a real question, a seven produces something nobody asked for and everybody uses.
Shadow
Withdrawal disguised as independence. Under pressure a seven goes quiet, and to everyone else the silence reads as a door closing.
Analysis can also become a way of not choosing: the evidence is never quite complete enough to have to act.
Work
Research, diagnosis, engineering, craft — anything that rewards depth over speed. A poor fit for roles requiring constant visible enthusiasm.
Sevens need a colleague who translates. The work is often excellent and unsold.
Love
Sevens need a partner who reads silence correctly and does not take a closed door personally. Given that, they are unusually loyal.
The discipline is saying the thought on the day you have it, rather than three weeks later when it has hardened into a position.
